Organisations, Social clubs and Facilities

Grønjordskollegiet offers a range of social events, clubs, and facilities. At its center is Hatten Bar, open every Friday and Saturday with affordable drinks, hosting events like Summerfest, Halloween parties, and comedy nights. For just 500kr, it can also be rented for private events. Residents can enjoy free yoga, ceramics classes, sports clubs, and facilities like the music room, ping-pong room, and gym. KF manages these activities, working with BR to ensure everyone can participate and enjoy the community.

KF (Student Association)

KF is a student association funded by a small rent fee, dedicated to managing Hatten Bar, organizing events, and supporting social clubs like yoga, ceramics, and others.

BR (Residents Council)

BR is the voice of residents to the administration, working independently from KF but often in collaboration on shared interests.

Hatten Bar (Main Event Hub)

Hatten Bar, open every Friday and Saturday, is the main social hub for events like Summerfest, Halloween, Christmas, comedy shows, and themed parties.

KF (Student Association)

KF is the backbone of Grønjordskollegiet’s vibrant social life, funded by a monthly fee of 100DKK paid by residents. Its key role is to manage Hatten Bar, organize events, and support various social clubs, from free yoga and ceramics classes to football and volleyball teams. KF works closely with BR to ensure residents’ ideas are heard and brought to life whenever possible, creating a dynamic community where everyone can participate.

Since its founding in 1969, KF has been essential to dorm life, supporting social activities and clubs that connect hundreds of residents every weekend. Without KF, key facilities like Hatten Bar and popular events like Summerfest, Halloween, and DJ nights wouldn’t exist. If you want to get involved or share an idea for a new club or event, KF is always open to your input.

BR (Residents Council)

BR (Beboerrepræsentation) serves as the key link between Grønjordskollegiet’s residents and the dorm administration. Its primary role is to ensure that residents’ concerns and ideas are addressed while improving the overall living environment. Legally, BR operates under Danish housing law, ensuring that tenants have a say in decisions related to dorm regulations and facilities(

While BR is independent from KF, they work together on shared initiatives like social events and club activities to enhance dorm life. Residents are encouraged to participate in BR meetings or become representatives themselves, helping to shape a more connected and vibrant community(

Hatten Bar

Hatten Bar is the heart of Grønjordskollegiet’s social life, offering an authentic bar experience with high-quality service at student-friendly prices. It is open every Friday and Saturday from 21:00 to 04:00 and serves as the venue for popular events like comedy nights, themed parties, Halloween, Christmas celebrations, and Summerfest. The bar can also be rented for private events before it opens to the public. With its professional staff, carefully planned events, and a fun, safe atmosphere, Hatten Bar provides a welcoming space for students to unwind and connect.

Capable of hosting up to 120 people, Hatten Bar features a dance floor, disco lights, and a seasonal drink menu, along with a covered and heated terrace. It’s partially funded by KF, with profits reinvested into improving events and operations. As the main social hub of the dorm, Hatten Bar plays a crucial role in fostering community, with opportunities for residents to work as bartenders or shift managers, or volunteer to help with events.
