Funded by a monthly fee from residents, KF ensures the smooth operation of Hatten Bar, clubs, and events by overseeing salaries, security, and more.
KF encourages residents to get involved by volunteering, suggesting new clubs, or participating in the planning of events and activities.
KF oversees the proper functioning of Hatten Bar, various social clubs, and events. They handle everything from paying staff salaries to organizing memorable events in collaboration with Hatten Bar and BR. A key focus is ensuring that residents’ ideas for new social clubs or events are heard and brought to life whenever possible. The association consists of a board with 6 members (a foreman, a treasurer, and 4 ordinary members), as well as two substitutes, working together to keep operations running smoothly.
Residents contribute 100DKK per month through their rent, which goes directly to KF to fund essential areas like events, staff salaries, security, and taxes. KF plays a significant role in organizing popular events such as Summerfest, Halloween parties, Christmas celebrations, DJ nights, and comedy shows, often in collaboration with Hatten Bar.
Since its foundation in 1969, KF has been a vital part of Grønjordskollegiet’s life. Without KF, the social clubs and Hatten Bar—where hundreds of residents gather every Friday and Saturday—would not exist. KF’s efforts ensure that the dorm remains a lively, connected community where residents can participate in a wide range of activities.
