In addition to these creative sessions, we also have classes focused on different techniques like the coiling method (Pølseteknik) for making cups and bowls. During the glazing sessions, you can glaze pieces you made in previous classes, and if you’ve been waiting for your finished creations, they’ll be ready for pickup! Whether you’re looking to try something new or enhance your skills, our ceramics classes are a fun way to get creative. Don’t forget to sign up, and feel free to share your creations with us on Instagram!

Yes! I don’t throw away any pieces even if they’ve been made a long time ago so you should be able to find it on the shelf or the box under the shelf.
Yes, you can absolutely come even if it’s your first time! Most of the classes are very beginner friendly, and in the start of each class I’ll show everyone how to sculpt what we are making, and throughout the class you can always ask questions or ask for help.
For residents the classes are free. The clay is free in the sculpting classes and it’s free to glaze items made in the sculpting classes. You can thank the KF for supporting our creative community!
Yes! but they will need to pay a fee to participate which covers the materials costs, kiln firings and the teaching. The money goes directly to buy more materials. Please let me know beforehand.
Yes! There are two kickwheels and tools you are welcome to use while in the workshop.
You can buy some clay in the workshop and you can come to the glazing classes and pay for each item glazed. The prices are as follows: 1kg clay – 30kr Glaze for a cup sized item – 25kr (This is a guiding price, so for example, a piece double as big as a cup, the prize would be double)
The teacher operates the kiln on a regular basis. For safety and logistical reasons, others are not allowed to operate the kiln. The kiln is fired when there are enough pieces accumulated to fill it up, to save energy for our planet. The bique firing is set at 1000°C and the glaze firing is set at 1250°C
The short answer is no. Firing clay from other workshops presents significant risks to both individual ceramic pieces and the kiln. In the past, we experienced an incident involving clay from another workshop that resulted in it melting and ruining a kiln shelf. Luckily it didn’t ruin other people’s pieces or the kiln itself. This happened even though the person said it was the correct type of clay and that it could handle 1250°c. To avoid such occurrences, we have a policy against firing external materials. We cannot risk ruining the kiln. Nevertheless, if you have hard proof, such as a receipt or documentation, specifying the type of clay you used, I would be open to reconsidering your request.
